 Adams  Craig
  Craig Adams is one of our School Board members.
 Anderson  Dory    

Dory Anderson is teaching First Grade again this year. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 14 years, dividing her between Kindergarten, and First grades. Prior to this, she taught at Curtis Creek School for 6 1/2.  Mrs. Anderson has lived in Tuolumne County for 50 years. She enjoys her husband, son and daughter, reading and laughter! She is also our 6th grade girls volleyball coach.

 Andresen  Aggie    

Aggie Andresen is the 6th-8th grade school secretary in "The Nest". The Nest is our satellite office for the middle school staff and students. She has worked at Soulsbyville School for 23 years in a variety of assignments.

Aggie loves interacting with children of all ages. She is also quite proficient on computers of all levels. She has lived with her husband in Tuolumne County for thirty-five years, has two adult, married daughters and one granddaughter. Chocolate, asparagus, tri-tip and strawberries are the perfect meal!

 Baer  David    

David Baer teaches 4th grade. He has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 20 years. Prior to this, he taught at Belleview school for two years, at Mother Lode Christian School for eight years and at Berry Creek School for one year.                                          

Mr. Baer has lived in Tuolumne County for 28 years. He thrives on being outside - building, fixing, planting. He also enjoys bicycling, backpacking, hiking and reading. Mr. Baer and his wife have two young adult children.

 Bendix  Lucille    

Lucille Bendix is Soulsbyville's afternoon Kindergarten teacher for the 09-10 school year. She worked for Soulsbyville School for 20 years in a variety of grade levels as a classroom aide. She re-entered college, got her teaching degree, taught 8th grade and 2nd grade for 3 years. Mrs. Bendix also was one of our Community Day School teachers for 2 years. She has been at Soulsbyville School for over 25 years in many capacities. Mrs. Bendix has lived in Tuolumne County for 30 years. She enjoys reading, sewing and going to movies. Mrs. Bendix has two adult children and three darling granddaughters.

 Benkula  Marlana    

Marlana Benkula is our business Manager. She is one of the ladies in the District Office who knows all the answers! She has been at Soulsbyville for 12 years.

 Bondurant  Sue    

Sue Bondurant is teaching a 2nd grade class for the 2009-2010 school year. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 14 years and even did her student teaching here under the guidance of Mrs. Fish. Ms. Bondurant has also taught 1st, 4th and 5th grades. Ms. Bondurant was born and raised in Walnut Creek, CA. After a 20+ year career in the banking industry, she moved to Calaveras County - to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a teacher. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. Her leisure time activities include computers, reading, traveling in Mexico, supporting U.C. Berkley alumni activities (Go Bears !) and spending time outdoors in the beautiful tri-county area.

 Borgquist  Marjorie    

Marjorie Borgquist is teaching Fourth grade this year. This is her 25th year teaching at Soulsbyville School. She moved to Sonora in 1959 and worked at her parents' variety store on Washington Street after school. After attending college, traveling and living in Santa Cruz, Ms. Borgquist returned to Tuolumne County in 1975 along with her husband and 2 sons. Both her boys graduated from Soulsbyville School. Presently, one grandson is attending this school. She enjoys spending time with her 6 grandchildren, being in two bookclubs and traveling whenever she can. Ms. Borgquist especially loves to teach art and writing. She is inspired by her students' considerable talents!

 Bouchard  Katherine    

Katherine Bouchard is the Occupational Therapist on campus working with California Children¹s Services (CCS). She has been here at Soulsbyville School for 10 years.

 Brouns  Jessica    

Jessica Brouns has a job-share position with Mrs. Irwin this year in 3rd Grade. Mrs. Brouns has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 7 years, all that time in the upper grades. Prior to this, she was an aide at Oakdale Jr. High School, Empire Elementary, Belleview Elementary and at the Regional Learning Center. Mrs. Brouns is also an excellent art teacher.

Mrs. Brouns has lived in Tuolumne County for 32 years. She recently has been doing quite a few home improvement projects and gardening with her young step-daughter. Mrs. Brouns has a 3 year old daughter darling twin 1 year old boys.

 Buzzard  Jane  
 

Jane Buzzard is Soulsbyville's band/music teacher. She has been a terrific asset to our school for 24 years. Miss Buzzard teaches all grades beginning with the classroom music for the Kindergarteners. Once the students reach fourth grade, they begin Miss Buzzard's recorder band. Fifth grade has a beginning band class where students who wish to learn an instrument have that opportunity. Sixth, seventh and eighth graders may participate in Intermediate and Advanced band under Miss Buzzard's direction.

Miss Buzzard is the principle oboe in the "Friends of Mother Lode Symphony" and plays with various other outstanding musical groups. Beside providing an absolutely wonderful marching band of Soulsbyville students for the yearly Mother Lode Roundup Parade, Miss Buzzard also enjoys crafts and games. She taught for 10 years at Clovis High School and in New Mexico prior to moving to Tuolumne County.

She is a terrific person and a wonderful asset to our school.

 Carter  Leslie    

Leslie Carter is a Teacher's Aide. She has worked at Soulsbyville School for many years spending time in both the upper and lower grades. Mrs. Carter has 20 years experience working in Special Education.

Mrs. Carter has lived in Tuolumne County for 30 years. She has an adult son and loves reading, hiking and traveling.

 Cochran  Jane   Jane Cochran has been an instructional aide with the County Schools SELPA program for the past 4 years, 3 of them at Soulsbyville Elementary School. She is the proud mother of 3 Soulsbyville alumnae. She loves to read and will read nearly anything. Jane learned to knit during the winter 2009 and added to crochet skills of 36 years! Her proudest accomplishment was graduating from Mills College in 2004, 3 months before she turned 50. Winston Churchill was right: "Never, never, never give up!"
 Costa  Michelle    

Michelle Costa is teaching a Kindergarten class as a job-share capacity with Noelle Taylor this year.

 Durling  Hilary   Hilary Durling is teaching Fifth grade this year. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 6 years, both in Kindergarten, First Grade and as a Reading Resource teacher as well. Prior to this, she taught Quail Glen Elementary in the Dry Creek School District in Roseville. Mrs. Durling has lived in Tuolumne County for 25 years. She enjoys her family of three children and doing scrapbooking.
 Edson  Carita   Carita Edson is a Special Ed teacher.
 Everhart  Tammy   Tammy Everhart is a Special Ed aide.
 Ferrari  Joe   Joe Ferrari  enjoys working at Soulsbyville School because of the friendly people on campus. He and his wife (married 15 years!) have lived in Tuolumne County for 14 years. Both his children attended Soulsbyville School. Joe likes to golf  and spend free time with his family. Joe also drives one of our school buses each day.
 Fish  Barbara  
Barbara Fish
is a part of the 2nd grade team this year. Mrs. Fish has taught at Soulsbyville School for 17 years in every grade but Kindergarten as well as 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades in a variety of other schools in Carmel, Oakdale and San Carlos. Mrs. Fish additionally taught ESL and GATE classes in her 13 years with schools other than Soulsbyville. Mrs. Fish has lived in Tuolumne County for 18 years and has three adult children with a lovely variety of grandchildren.
 Fitzwater  Sue  
Sue Fitzwater
is working as a classroom aide. She has been working at Soulsbyville School since 1988, part of that time in our cafeteria as one of our terrific cooks. She has also been one of the Yearbook advisors. Ms. Fitzwater has lived in Tuolumne County for many years. She went to grammar school at Pinecrest School and graduated from Sonora High School (as did her grandfather). She enjoys her three adult children and making glass beads with a torch from glass rods.
 Fulkerson  Russ  
Russ Fulkerson
is teaching Sixth grade Language Arts this year.  He has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 10 years. Prior to this, he taught at Jenny Lind Elementary School in grades 2, 3, 4 and 6 for three years. Click here to find his homework and class information. Mr. Fulkerson is the boys basketball coach for 7th grades. Mr. Fulkerson has lived in Tuolumne County off and on for 40 years. He grew up here but moved to Chico for college. He returned and started his family. Mr. Fulkerson enjoys being a teacher, husband and father to his two young children. He enjoys sport of all kinds - anything outdoors - and loves teaching at Soulsbyville School.
 Garci-Aguirre  Frances  
Frances Garci-Aguirre
wears so many "hats" at Soulsbyville School. She is in charge of the ASK (After School Kids) program, the LEP program, works with the Student Study Teams and Resource Teachers. Ms. Garci-Aguirre knows and works with most of the students who have attended Soulsbyville School. Ms. Garci-Aguirre enjoys visiting Family in Nevada and trying to keep up with the global travels of her 2 adult children.
 Glass  Melissa   Melissa Glass is our new Cafeteria Manager.
 Gray  Cathy   Cathy Gray is working with our HeadStart program this year.
 Grognet  Gwynne   Gwynne Grognet works both as a bus driver and custodian. She has been a county resident for 40 years and a Soulsbyville employee for 16 years to date. Gwynne loves working on her 20 acre Soulsbyville Ridge "ranchette", and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Margaret Grolle
is the Physical Therapist on campus from California Children’s Services. She has been helping students at Soulsbyville School for 20 years.
 Hack  Kate    Kate Hack is one of our School Board members.
 Hall  Lara   Lara Hall joined the Soulsbyville "family" in 2005. She works with the elementary level resource and special education students. Mrs. Hall and her husband have two wonderful children.
 Harris  Chris  
Chris Harris
works  as a Classroom Aide in the morning and afternoon Kindergarten classes. She also works in Title One with 3rd grade reading groups. She has been working at Soulsbyville School for 21 years in a variety of grades. Mrs. Harris has lived in Tuolumne County for 30 years. She enjoys hugging her adorable granddaughter and grandson, drying flowers and painting her VW bus. (Please wave when you see her drive by!) She has two adult daughters and a wonderful husband of 43 years.
 Hennessy  Suzanne  
Suzanne Hennessy
teaches grade 7 Language Arts classes and seventh grade study hall. She has been at Soulsbyville School for 20 years teaching in grades 2, 6, 7 and 8. Both of her children attended Soulsbyville School.
 Hicks  John   John Hicks is the resource teacher for the Junior High students. He has enjoyed being at Soulsbyville School for 20 years. His  children are also graduates of Soulsbyville. John spends his free time fishing, golfing skiing, playing guitar and traveling with his wife.
 Hopper  Mike  
Mike Hopper
teaches both 6th grade Math, PE and Science. He has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 18 years, all that time in the upper grades. Prior to this, he taught in Atwater at Mitchell Elementary School for one year and for two years at Stevenson Elementary. For his homework and class information click here. Mr. Hopper holds his study every day at 7:40 in the morning. Mr. Hopper is also a sports coach at Soulsbyville School and Sonora High School. Mr. Hopper has lived in Tuolumne County for 32 years. He enjoys spending time with his three children, camping and playing music on his guitar.

 Husher  Anca  
Anca Husher
has lived in the USA since early 1992. She has a M.Sc. in Physics with a minor in Math and worked in Silicon Valley / San Jose for over 16 years as a process engineer in the semiconductor industry and industrial corporate trainer – teaching adults . She loves to teach, inspire and make a difference and loves mathematics. She holds a teaching credential in Europe (CE) where she taught part time for 2 years at the high school level and now holds a teaching credential in California. She moved to Tuolumne County in late 2005 where she enjoys the peaceful life of the rural area and having time to spend with her husband and her young daughter. She enjoys swimming, hiking, reading and working on the computer. To check the 7th grade math assignments and class info click here. Her study hall times are Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 am by appointment and every other Friday (the "B" Fridays) from 8:00 – 10:00 am without appointment.

Susan Irwin
is teaching Third Grade class this year. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 14 years. Prior to this, she taught for 3 years at Jamestown Elementary School and at St. Patrick’s High School in Vallejo. Mrs. Irwin also has worked as a tutor for 6 years. Mrs. Irwin has lived in Tuolumne County for 19 years. Her family consists of three daughters, a son and 4 beautiful grandchildren. She enjoys music, outdoor sports, gardening and reading.
 Iserman  Hillary   Hillary Iserman is one of our School Board members.
 Jaco  Karen   Karen Jaco teaches 3rd grade. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 20 years, spending  time in Kindergarten and First grade also. Mrs. Jaco has lived in Tuolumne County for over 30 years.
 Levering  Evalyn   Evalyn Levering is teaching a first grade class as a job-share along with her daughter-in-law. Mrs. Levering has been at Soulsbyville for 21 years teaching in Kindergarten and third  grade along with her first grade assignment this year. Mrs. Levering and her family have lived in Tuolumne County for 36 years.
 Levering  Kathy   Kathy Levering teaches First Grade. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 7 years job-sharing with Mrs. Evalyn Levering. Mrs. Levering has lived in Tuolumne County for 10 years. She enjoys the Youth Ministry at Sierra Bible Church, dirt biking, climbing, running and hanging out with her family.
 Lewicki  Jennifer  
Jennifer Lewicki teaches Kindergarten. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 10 years. Prior to this, she taught at Horicon Elementary for two years. Mrs. Lewicki has lived in Tuolumne County for 11 years. She has one son and spends her free time cooking, reading and camping. Much of her free time is spend chauffeuring her son to all of his music obligations!
 Loughmiller  Susan  
Sue Loughmiller teaches 5th grade and is one of our GATE coordinators. She has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 25 years. Mrs. Loughmiller has lived in Tuolumne County for over 50 years. She enjoys working on home improvement projects and spending time with her two children and 6 terrific grandchildren.
 Lynch  Dennis  
Dennis Lynch has been working at Soulsbyville School for 9 years. He likes his position as a custodian and enjoys the kids at Soulsbyville School.  Dennis likes listening to music, traveling, attending concerts and talking with his friends. He enjoys barbequing, cooking, sports on TV and spending time with his family.
 Malone  Karyn  
Karyn Malone is our lead bus driver as well as an instructional aide for a variety of  grades. She has worked for Soulsbyville School for 19 years in many different classrooms and grade levels. Mrs. Malone is a master quilter and does remarkable needlepoint pieces. She and her husband have two adult children and have lived in Tuolumne County for 33 years.

Laura Nelson works both as an instructional aide - spending most of her time working with the Jr. High students. She volunteered for many years prior to being hired in 2006 in a variety of capacities. All 3 of her children have attended Soulsbyville School.
 Nemmer  Joann  
Joann Nemmer is currently working as a Community Day School teacher. Prior to coming to Soulsbyville, she worked as an Instructional Aide and yard duty at Sonora Elementary School. She obtained her teaching credential and has worked at Soulsbyville School for 8 years, teaching Kindergarten, second and third grades. Mrs. Nemmer has lived in Tuolumne County for 22 years. She has three adult children. During her free time, she enjoys cooking/baking, sewing, crocheting and various other crafts.
 Olesiuk  Trudy  
Trudy Olesiuk
currently is working as Tech Support entering information for Soulsbyville into "PowerSchool" which is the Student Information Service (SIS). She taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Technology classes for many years. This is her 22nd year working at Soulsbyville School  in all grades Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Through classes (as well as trial and error), she has learned so much on computers from PowerSchool, webpages, machine repair and how to share this information with others. Mrs. Olesiuk has lived in Tuolumne County for over 36 years. She enjoys the country living, horses, sewing, quilting, all sorts of needlework and crafts. She has two adult children .

Melissa Pendley is the District Administrative Assistant. She has worked at Soulsbyville School for 11 years. Currently Mrs. Pendley enjoys spending time with her 3 beautiful granddaughters.

Keely Pfeiffer is doing a job-share position this year with Mrs. Fish in second grade.
 Pluim  Holly  
Holly Pluim obtained a Master's Degree in 2007 in Education with a specialization in Special Education from California Polytechnic State University. Mrs. Pluim moved to Tuolumne County in the summer of 2007. She enjoys hiking, camping, wakeboarding, snowboarding, knitting, gardening and spending time with her husband and family.
 Prosser  Steve  
Steve Prosser
spends most of his day helping make it possible for the teachers, students and staff at Soulsbyville School enjoy their day. He is so very helpful and tries to fulfill those "repair requests" as soon as possible.  He is also one of our daily bus drivers. Steve also sings and plays drums in the "The Janitor Band" - Soulsbyville's very own band.

Cindy Roberson
is the 8th grade Language Arts teacher. During her 10 years at Soulsbyville School, she has also spent some time teaching 5th and 6th grades. Mrs. Roberson holds her study halls by appointment. She and her husband have lived in Tuolumne County for 30 years (Mrs. Roberson actually grew up in the county!) She has three adult children, one darling granddaughter and three beautiful grandsons.
Mrs. Roberson is the Volleyball coach for the Soulsbyville team.

Jan Ryan
is the Administrative Assistant for Soulsbyville School. She has been working at Soulsbyville School for over 30 years in a variety of assignments throughout the years. Ms. Ryan has lived in Tuolumne County her entire life. She has two adult children and enjoys spending time with her family.
 Schroeter  Dave  
Dave Schroeter
  is a Special Education staff member. He has taught at Soulsbyville School for 27 years in this capacity. Mr. Schroeter spent nine years teaching in Twain Harte and Cutler Orosi School District prior to coming to Soulsbyville. Mr. Schroeter enjoys snow skiing, sailing and mountain bike riding as his recreation. He has lived in Tuolumne County for over 30 years and has two grown children.

Jason Sevier
began this year at Soulsbyville School as the School Psychologist.  Prior to this, he worked at the Winters Joint Unified School District.  Mr. Sevier has lived in Tuolumne County for 2 years with his family.  He enjoys the skiing, camping and natural history available in the county.

Sandy Sitton
  is the Librarian and head of the Media Center. She has been working at Soulsbyville School for 25 years. Mrs. Sitton has lived in Tuolumne County for 26 years. She enjoys reading, sailing, camping and being with her family (2 sons and 2 grandchildren).
 Siudzinski  Nicole
 
Nicole Siudzinski
is our autism specialist for Tuolumne County. She has been working to help children with autism for 11 years in this capacity and LOVES her work. Helping kids is her passion! Ms. Siudzinski enjoys reading, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.
 Skutches  Mike  
Mike Skutches
teaches both 7th and 8th grade Science. He has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 13 years, all that time in the upper grades. Prior to this, he taught in Modesto at Somerset Middle School for three years and Ustach Middle School for one year. Click here for his homework and class information. He enjoys the rural, country living - especially his animals (pony, goats, chickens and ducks), gardening and being with his two children.

Barb Slater
  is our new 1009-1010 school year Registrar. She has worked at Soulsbyville School for 11 years, during that time working with all grades Kindergarten through Fifth.  Mrs. Slater has lived in Tuolumne County for 29 years. She has two adult children and has produced many art objects decorated by etching the glass.
 Spangler  Heather   Heather Spangler is one of our School Board members.
 Spinetto  Dave  
Dave Spinetto has been employed at Soulsbyville School for 27 years. He has worked as a bus driver, cook, maintenance and all-around-hard-worker. When any of the staff needs help, we all say, "Quick, call Dave!"  Dave sings and plays lead guitar in the "The Janitor Band" - Soulsbyville's very own band. He especially enjoys fishing, golf and making music.
 Sweitzer  Steve  
Steve Sweitzer is teaching 7th grade PE and 7th/8th grade Social Studies classes. He has been teaching at Soulsbyville School for 9 years, spending time as a first grade teacher as well. Prior to this, he taught in Rio Linda Elementary School for 7 years. Click here for his homework and class information. Mr. Sweitzer is also the Athletic Director for Soulsbyville School and a basketball coach. Mr. Sweitzer graduated from Sonora High School. He enjoys basketball, snowboarding, fishing and spending time with his wife and  three young children.
 Taylor  Noelle  
Noelle Taylor is one of the Kindergarten teachers. She has been at Soulsbyville School for 15 years and has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades as well as Kindergarten. Mrs. Taylor also taught for 5 years at Chinese Camp School prior to coming to Soulsbyville. Mrs. Taylor loves camping, water/snow skiing and spending time with her family.  She has lived in Tuolumne County all her life and all three of her children attended Soulsbyville School.

Bart Taylor -  Before becoming  Principal for Soulsbyville School in 2006,  Mr. Taylor taught school, served as  Maintenance/Operations/Transportation Manager and served as administrative intern for two years. Mr. Taylor has lived in Tuolumne County for 19 years. He enjoys being outdoors, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.
 Tidwell  Melody
Melody Tidwell has worked as an Instructional Aide for 10 years in a variety of classrooms and grade levels. She enjoys reading, crocheting, travel and spending time with her family. Mrs. Tidwell and her husband have three children (all who attended Soulsbyville School!) and have lived in Tuolumne County for 21 years.
 Wilson  Kimara  
Kimara Wison is the Speech-Language Pathologist assigned to Soulsbyville School. Prior to coming to Soulsbyville, she worked in Texas as a speech therapist, special education and general education teacher for sixteen years. Mrs. Wilson moved to Tuolumne County in September 2008. She has 3 children enrolled in Tuolumne County schools. She enjoys travelling with her husband and children.

Jeff Winfield  is our school Superintendent. He has been working at Soulsbyville School for 15 years, in grades fifth through eighth. He also worked at Hughson High School for three years.
