FIRST GRADE ART WORK - FROM ROOM 10
The
students in Mrs. Levering and Mrs. Kathy's 1st grade have been hard at
work with their scissors, glue and construction paper. Their creations
are hanging from the windows, tacked onto bulletin boards and hung from
wire across the ceiling. This is a great way to learn about animals and
their habitat as well as mastering motor skills.
Constitution Day was September 17, so along with much discussion and reading about the United States, fireworks were live in the classroom.
Most of all, this group of children are learning how to act appropriately with their social group and be friends.
FROM OUR 30th ANNUAL GRANDPARENTS' DAY: MAY 8, 2009 !
Grandparents
were invited to sign in and then go to visit classrooms from 9:00 AM to
10:00 AM. Events for the grandparents included an assembly held in the
Falcon Gym, a book fair, a mid-morning recess "tea" in the cafeteria and
turkey luncheon at 11:30 AM.
DECEMBER 2009: MATH PROJECT: "MATCH IT UP!"
The 7th Grade students worked hard for this math project in matching the problems with their correct answers under the correct mathematical property. Work is displayed in Mrs. Husher's Room # 45. This project helped students to identify the correct use of the mathematical properties for a given problem and its solution.
